My absolute favorite ages to photograph are the first 12 months of life. It goes far too quickly and I am a firm believer in how important it truly is to capture as many milestones as you can, starting with a newborn shoot when your baby is under just 3 weeks old. It is best to book your newborn shoot when you are still pregnant to ensure a date in my schedule but I can usually fit in some last minute bookings too so don’t hesitate to reach out even if your baby was born already!
When you book a newborn shoot, I will email you a booking questionnaire to fill out that will ask for your contact info, due date, preferences for styling your session, and a retainer to secure a date in my schedule. Then once your baby is born, you can contact me to book your shoot! We will schedule the session for when your baby is between 6 and 21 days old.

Additional Info
I have a huge collection of wraps, bonnets, hats, headbands, outfits, and props for your newborn. These are all handmade specifically for newborn photography. I ask that you please do not plan on bringing anything for your baby to wear for their shoot. If you have a request to use a sentimental item such as a special handmade blanket or things important to your family like military gear, your veil, special blanket etc, just be sure to let me know before your session so I can plan it into my workflow.
Newborn sessions are run by your baby. I do not force any poses if baby is not liking it. I have a very specific workflow and routine that I have perfected for my newborn shoots to get the maximum amount of poses/images for you in the amount of time we have allotted for your session. 3 hours may seem like a crazy amount of time for a photoshoot, but I will spend a lot of that time gently and safely soothing your baby into poses, and allowing you to feed for as long as (and as often) as you need to to get baby nice and full. Some babies sleep the entire time, others barely close their eyes long enough for one pose. Every baby is so different! That is what makes working with them my favorite.
